In celebration of Valentine’s Day, the public is invited to view the entries in Switzerland County Tourism’s Valentine Card Contest. The event takes place February 1 through February 24, 2013 at the Visitors Center, located at 128 West Main Street in downtown Vevay, IN. The contest opening is First Friday, February 1 from 6-9pm and is free and open to the public.
Switzerland County’s adult and youth residents were invited to create a Valentine card made from any medium. County townspeople were also encouraged to bring in vintage Valentines to be included in the display. Prizes will be awarded.
Valentines may be for sale, with prices set by each individual artist/crafter. All entries must remain on display throughout the entire exhibit.
Switzerland County residents can drop off Valentine Card Contest and vintage card entries at the Switzerland County Visitor Center on January 28 through January 30 from 10am-5pm. One entry per person.
The event is in collaboration with Vevay Main Street’s “Chocolate Walk” First Friday. Enjoy late night shopping, dining, specials, live entertainment, and art openings in downtown Vevay. Weather permitting, free carriage rides will be available.
