The public is invited to participate in a Fourth of July Cornhole Tournament on Liberty Street in downtown Vevay, IN. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4 during Vevay’s “Red, White & Blues” First Friday. A $100 first place award is guaranteed and will include 50% of the collected entrance fees. Second place receives 30% of the entry fees with third receiving 20%.
The price to participate is $10 per team. Pre-registration is available at the Switzerland County Visitors Center located at 128 West Main Street or at This & That Homemade Creations Gift Shop located at 402 Ferry Street in Vevay. On-site registration on Liberty Street will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on July 4. Registrations will not be complete until the entry fee is paid.
All participants must sign a release of liability and an acceptance of rules entry form. Any team members under the age of 21 must have their paperwork signed by a parent or guardian who agrees to contest rules. Cornhole players of any age can participate.

Other tourism events for July 4 include the “Show Your Flag” Scavenger Hunt from 6-8 p.m. and “Dancin’ on Liberty Street” with the nine-piece Doctors’ Band from 6-9 p.m. The events are free and open to the public.
Vevay’s First Friday is presented by Vevay Main Street with partial funding from Switzerland County Tourism. The event includes late night shopping, dining, store specials, art openings, live entertainment, and free carriage rides (weather permitting) around downtown Vevay.
