Switzerland County Tourism will host a “Show Your Flag” scavenger hunt during the July 4 Vevay’s First Friday. The hunt will take place from 6-8 p.m. in and around downtown Vevay, IN.
The event is free with all ages invited to participate. Switzerland County is proud to wave its American Flag but also flies a Swiss flag to honor its historic roots. Visit participating businesses to pick up sealed envelopes that contain either a Swiss or American flag. Deliver unopened envelopes to the Visitors Center no later than 8 p.m. where they will be opened in hopes of revealing one of six winning American flags. All non-winning entries will be put into a drawing for chance to win an additional prize. Tampered entries will be disqualified.
Maps will be available listing participating businesses. Only one envelope allowed per family/group, per business, while supplies last. Entries must be picked up by the person participating in the scavenger hunt. Businesses that are interested in participating may (812) 427-3237 to sign up.
Vevay’s First Friday is presented by Vevay Main Street and includes late night dining, shopping, store specials, live entertainment, art openings and free carriage rides (weather permitting) around downtown Vevay. The event is sponsored in part by Switzerland County Tourism.
